How to import photos from iPhone to SSD using Mac?

Introduction:

With new iPhones having cameras that are very high quality, more storage is used to store images. This can become a problem when your phone fills up with photos and you don’t want to delete any. You can solve this by transferring you images from your iPhone to your SSD. Follow the steps below to do this.

Steps:

1. Open the “Image Capture” app on Mac (should be preinstalled).

2. Plug the device you want to transfer photos from.

One the device is unlocked and connected you should see the device under the “DEVICES” section.

3. Click on the drop down labeled “Import To”

4. Choose the location you want to export the pictures to by clicking the “other” dropdown option. Click choose when you are at the desired location.

5. (optional) If you want the photos to delete from your phone after the down load click the 3 dots at the top of the app and then check the “Delete after import” option.

6. Click “Download All” to transfer all photos or you can select individual photos to “Download”

7. After the Download has finished you can unplug your device.

Conclusion:

The photos you have downloaded from you iPhone should now be at the location you selected in the “Import To” dropdown.
