How to change default file format for iPhone pictures from HEIC to JPEG?

Introduction:

By default newer iPhone’s store images in an HEIC format. Follow the steps below in order to change the image format on your iPhone to JPEG.

Steps:

1. Open Settings

2. Scroll Down and Click on Camera

3. Click on Formats (The first option)

4. Click “Most Compatible” to Set Format to JPEG

Default Is “High Efficiency”

Now your iPhone’s photo format is set to JPEG, so now when you share a photo using Email or another method, the file shared will no longer be an HEIC but instead it will be a JPEG.
